Last night i went to the opening reception of one of the most infamous graffiti writers of all-time, COPE 2. Tuff City Styles was also in the house to represent! Big ups to FIL-ONE!
For those that don’t know who COPE2 is, he’s done it all, from bombing trains in the early 80s, to hitting up the city walls with colorful murals, and even showcasing his artwork worldwide! This guy is a big influence to the graffiti community. Oh yeah, he also used to be a messenger!
Cope’s new works is on view @ TT Underground Gallery through April 18th. Its open from Tuesday to Sunday (2pm-7pm). Its located at 91 Second Av.-Lower level @ E. 5st.
